Position: Calgary Underground Construction Technician Role
Elevate your career with Valard Construction as an Underground Construction Technician in Calgary, AB. Play a key role in the installation of underground electrical infrastructure on the Calgary Green Line LRT project.

As a vital team member under the Foreman's guidance, you'll handle physically demanding tasks while ensuring safety and efficiency. Responsibilities include digging trenches, pouring concrete, and maintaining a clean job site. Your ability to interpret construction drawings will also be essential for project accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct temporary support structures and retaining walls

• Dig and cover trenches with concrete

• Load and remove excavated materials from site

• Operate company vehicles, excavators, and backhoes

• Maintain safety standards and job site cleanliness

Requirements:

• Previous underground construction experience or similar

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with good record

• Proficient in operating construction machinery

• Capability to lift heavy loads outdoors

• Available for flexible working hours
