Here's What You Bring to the Team:

As the Assistant Site Superintendent for the Multi-Family division at Shane Homes, you play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of multi-family construction projects. Working closely with the Site Superintendent, you help coordinate daily site operations, maintain quality standards, support trade partners, and ensure projects progress safely and efficiently.

  • 3+ years of experience in multi-family construction
  • Experience with wood-frame row townhome condominiums, including underground services and utilities
  • Exposure to concrete underground parkades (considered an asset)
  • Strong commitment to exceptional quality assurance, especially in high-end finishes and exacting tolerances
  • Understanding of construction methods, drawings, specifications, and building materials
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations, building codes, and governing authority requirements
  • Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, and project milestones
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment and initiative
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (including lifting up to 60 lbs)
Here's What Your Day-To-Day Could Look Like:
  • Assist in coordinating and overseeing daily on-site construction activities.
  • Collaborating closely with the Site Superintendent to proactively identify and resolve construction challenges.
  • Supporting trade contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and deliveries to maintain project schedules and workflow.
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of project schedules and short-term look-ahead plans.
  • Coordinating inspections, consultant reviews, testing activities, and utility connections.
  • Reviewing project drawings, specifications, shop drawings, RFIs, and other contract documents.
  • Maintaining project records, daily reports, site photographs, correspondence, and schedule updates.
  • Conducting framing, building envelope, fire separation, and quality control inspections.
  • Monitoring and coordinating corrective work and deficiency completion with trade partners.
  • Assisting with occupancy readiness reviews, turnover preparation, and project closeout activities.
  • Coordinating equipment usage, material deliveries, storage, and site logistics requirements.
  • Supporting site maintenance activities including temporary protection, housekeeping, snow removal, and site facilities upkeep.
  • Promoting a safe work environment through worker orientations, toolbox meetings, inspections, and hazard assessments.
