Position: Top Man – Infrastructure (Water & Sewer)
Thompson Construction Group has immediate openings for a Water and Sewer Top Man supporting our Infrastructure division’s land development and subdivision projects in the Calgary area.
Responsibilities:
Monitor the elevation and grade of all pipes being installed with either batter boards or builders’ levelCutting and beveling pipeRigging all materials to be lowered into ditchSetting up track lineLining up service connection locations, CB’s, MH’s, etc.Participate in daily safety meetings and adhere to all company safety policies and proceduresReport all incidents, near misses, and equipment damage to site supervisionMaintain effective communication with supervisors and crew membersWork collaboratively as part of a construction crew to meet project timelinesQualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experienced as a top man in underground utilitiesReliable transportation to and from siteAbility to manage multiple priorities and work under pressureAbility to work extended hours, including up to 12 hours per day, Monday to SaturdayValid Class 5 Driver’s License is considered an assetAbility to perform physically demanding work in an outdoor construction environmentAdditional Information:
