Calgary Underground Construction Technician

Position: Calgary Underground Construction Technician Role
Advance your career as an Underground Construction Technician with Valard Construction in Calgary, Alberta. This role involves physical labor and technical expertise for underground electrical projects, including the Calgary Green Line LRT.

You will report directly to the Foreman, supporting the construction of essential infrastructure. Your tasks will include equipment operation, trench digging, and concrete work. Candidates should possess previous experience in similar environments and a solid understanding of safety policies and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dig shallow trenches and pour concrete for walls

• Operate company vehicles and construction machinery

• Support field crews effectively as directed

• Maintain safety and cleanliness on the job site

• Document time and tasks through required paperwork

Requirements:

• Background in underground construction preferred

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license is necessary

• Experience with directional drills and heavy machinery

• Must be physically capable of outdoor labor

• Proficient in reading construction drawings
