Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Civil Superintendent is responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, in compliance with the contracts and the job cost estimates and all the work is completed safely to acceptable standards of quality and workmanship.

What You'll Do Here:
Participate in bid review processes to verify estimated production, constructability, and quantitiesLead field execution of civil scopes with a strong emphasis on concrete works, earthworks, and underground utilitiesReview and interpret shop drawings, IFC drawings, rebar drawings, and specifications to ensure work is executed accuratelyOversee and coordinate civil work activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standardsMonitor and interpret concrete and soils testing (e.g., slump, air content, compressive strength results, compaction testing) and take corrective action as requiredWork with EHS representatives to create and enforce project/site-specific safety programs and policiesMaintain a positive project culture, supporting team engagement and performance through regular communication and mentorshipAct as the construction lead in collaboration with PMO, Quality, Design, Labour Relations, and Project Controls teams for project setup and executionInterface professionally with client representatives, providing routine updates and addressing field-related concernsDevelop and manage detailed construction and look-ahead schedules, ensuring labour, equipment, and materials are aligned with project needsIdentify project risks and collaborate with project teams on mitigation strategiesManage scope changes and support change management processes related to schedule, materials, and subcontractorsCoordinate with subcontractors, union representatives, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless execution of workFoster an inclusive work environment that promotes diversity, equity, and belongingWhat You Bring to the Team:
Minimum 5+ years of on-site construction experience, including leadership of crews on civil or industrial projectsStrong experience in industrial construction environments, particularly with civil scopes such as earthworks, underground utilities, and concrete foundationsConcrete experience is considered a strong asset and preferred, including exposure to placing, finishing, curing, and quality control processesDemonstrated ability to read and interpret shop drawings, rebar drawings, and construction specificationsWorking knowledge of concrete & soils testing procedures, standards, and interpretation of test resultsApplicable technical training through trade certification or post-secondary education in construction, civil engineering, or related disciplineProven leadership experience managing trade and/or non-trade teams in a construction environmentStrong organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple work fronts in a fast-paced, complex project settingHigh level of professionalism when working with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholdersCommitment to promoting safety, quality, and an inclusive workplace cultureReaosn for Vacancy:

Salary Range: $95,000 -$145,000
Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience and unique skills.
