Civil Material Testing Technician Position

Join the Materials Team in Calgary as a Material Testing Technician, contributing to civil construction projects. Engage in comprehensive testing of various construction materials.

This role offers hands-on experience working with soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt. From compaction and concrete testing to preparing daily reports, you'll enhance your understanding of construction processes. The position promotes adherence to health and safety standards in all tasks performed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct field tests on construction materials

• Perform compaction testing for soils, aggregates, and asphalt

• Cast concrete and perform slump and air measurements

• Execute onsite asphalt testing and sampling

• Prepare and document daily test summaries

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in a relevant field preferred

• Experience in construction is advantageous

• Valid driver's license and insurance background needed

• Must be a quick learner with a good attitude

• Wear CSA approved steel-toed boots
