Join Thompson Construction Group as a Pipelayer for essential water and sewer tasks in Calgary’s infrastructure projects. Your expertise will be vital in supporting land development and subdivision initiatives.
The position calls for at least 2 years of water and sewer industry experience. You will work alongside Excavator Operators to install pipes and ensure proper grading. This role requires participation in safety meetings and a commitment to following all safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Excavator Operator to achieve grade cuts
• Implement graded pipeline, manholes, and ancillary structures
• Fit pressurized pipes, valves, and hydrants
• Monitor backfill processes for installed infrastructure
• Report incidents and maintain crew communication
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Must have reliable transportation
• Willingness to work extended hours
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License preferred
• Physically fit for demanding outdoor tasks
