Construction Safety Advisor at Aecon

Aecon is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to uphold high safety standards in the construction industry. You will conduct safety orientations, train personnel across various safety disciplines, and lead site inspections and audits. Collaboration with management and clients is essential, along with coordinating training programs and promoting Aecon's safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver site-specific safety orientations for workers and clients
• Train staff on Aecon Health, Safety and Environmental Manual
• Coordinate essential safety training such as WHMIS and First Aid
• Conduct inspections and behavioral observations on-site
• Prepare and lead accident/incident investigations
Requirements:
• 3–5 years in a Health and Safety role in construction
• CRSP and/or COR Auditor Certification required
• National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification needed
• Valid First Aid Certification and knowledge of OHS legislation
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
