Transmission Estimator at Aecon Utilities

As a Transmission Estimator, you will report to the Estimating Manager and play a crucial role in cost estimation for labour, equipment, and materials. Your understanding of construction documents and effective communication with clients will be vital as you collaborate with Operations and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare thorough estimates for transmission construction projects

• Analyze specifications, proposals, and addendums for pricing

• Review project sites prior to finalizing estimates

• Coordinate with Operations for accurate input during estimates

• Conduct bid handover meetings and maintain project files

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Civil, Construction, Electrical, or Business

• 5-10 years experience in estimating transmission infrastructure

• Strong knowledge of job costing and accounting principles

• Excellent communication skills, oral and written

• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and estimating software
