Construction Surveyor

Overview

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting an Intermediate Construction Surveyor to support major heavy civil infrastructure projects in Northern Canada. The role involves field surveying, construction layout, data analysis, drafting, and modelling using advanced survey technology. It is a 6‑month contract with strong potential for extension, operating on a 3‑weeks‑on, 3‑weeks‑off rotational schedule, company‑paid flights, accommodations, and travel expenses.

• Coordinate construction survey activities for heavy civil projects
• Perform construction layout and field surveying using modern survey equipment
• Conduct as‑built surveys and analyze survey data
• Complete quantity calculations to support project progress reporting
• Develop and maintain accurate survey records and documentation
• Create and update survey models, drawings, and drafting deliverables
• Manage and maintain survey instruments and related assets
• Uphold safety, quality, and operational standards across all project activities

• Diploma or degree in surveying, geomatics, engineering technology, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of construction surveying experience
• Ability to interpret and apply construction drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in operating Total Stations and modern GPS survey equipment
• Experience with Civil 3D or comparable drafting and modelling software
• Experience with drone surveying and UAV data collection
• Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driving record
• Capability to work independently in remote outdoor environments with minimal supervision
