What Is The Opportunity?
Calgary Construction Operations is focused on hiring a talented GPS Surveyor for the 2026 Construction Season in Calgary, Alberta
.
What You'll Do here:
Uses survey equipment to perform grade for construction sites.perform work in a safe manner.Read, interpret, and explain constuction drawings and grade strakes to employees and Foreman.Inform equipment operators on the necessary grade requirements.Communicate with truck drivers to inform them of unlaoding stations.Inspects grades using variety of measures: boning rods, levels, string line, lasers, GPS, etc.What You Bring to the Team:
Previous experience as a Gradesman/Surveyor in the road construction industry.Experience reading blueprints is required.Experience with Trimble and Topcon is an asset.Ability to operate construction equipment is an asset.Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis and stand/walk for long periods of time.Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, contractors and the general public in a courteous, professional manner at all times.Maintains a valid Class 5 driver’s license or better.Own vehicle to get to and from jobsite.Willing to work overtime, as required.Must comply with the company's drug & alcohol program, including testing requirement.
