Adecco is currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Superintendent to join a respected and growing construction organization known for delivering complex commercial, institutional, and multi-residential projects.
This leadership role is ideal for a hands-on construction professional who thrives in the field, leads by example, and is passionate about safety, quality, team development, and project execution. As the driving force behind on-site operations, you will oversee all aspects of construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
- Pay Rate: $150,000 - $180,000/year

Site Leadership & Project Execution
- Lead all on-site construction activities from project start-up through completion
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure smooth project delivery
- Develop and maintain project schedules, work plans, and site logistics
- Monitor project progress and proactively address issues, risks, and obstacles
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Manage workforce allocation, material deliveries, and equipment requirements
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements
- Conduct regular site inspections and address potential hazards immediately
- Lead safety meetings and ensure all workers understand project safety expectations
- Promote high-quality workmanship and continuous improvement across all phases of construction
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality control activities as required
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to Assistant Superintendents and field staff
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing site culture
- Support training and development initiatives, including apprenticeship programs
- Partner closely with Project Managers, consultants, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project success
- Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and professionalism
- Support budget management and cost control throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitor productivity, forecast potential challenges, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Track project milestones and ensure key deliverables are achieved on schedule
- Assist in managing project closeout activities and final turnover requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial, institutional, industrial, or multi-family residential projects
- Experience leading and mentoring Assistant Superintendents and site teams
- Journeyperson trade certification or equivalent construction field experience
- Proven experience overseeing projects valued between $10M and $50M
- Strong background in construction scheduling, workforce planning, and site logistics management
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities
- Results-oriented and accountable mindset
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, trades, and project stakeholders
- Passion for safety, quality, and operational excellence
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to lead under pressure and adapt to changing project demands
- Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
