Position Overview

The Skid Steer Operator at Professional Excavators & Construction Inc. is responsible for operating skid steer loaders to assist with excavation, material handling, and site preparation activities. This role requires a skilled operator who can maneuver equipment safely and efficiently across various job sites while supporting the overall construction process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate skid steer loaders to move materials, dig, level surfaces, and assist with various site preparation tasks
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues to maintenance teams promptly
  • Ensure safe operation of machinery in compliance with company and site safety policies
  • Assist ground crews with loading, unloading, and transporting materials as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized worksite, supporting efficient workflow
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate daily tasks
  • Follow all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during operations
Requirements
  • Previous experience operating skid steer loaders or similar equipment in a construction environment
  • Valid Heavy Equipment Operator certification or relevant training is preferred
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to work safely around heavy machinery
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
  • Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
