Who We Are

Rising Edge Group is an electrical contracting company founded in 2002, specialization in high-voltage electrical solutions that power critical infrastructure across North America. With operations in both Canada and the United States, we partner with clients across the electrical utilities, renewable energy, and industrial sectors to design, build, and maintain the critical infrastructure systems communities and industries rely on.

Guided by our STRIDE values - Safety, Teamwork, Responsibility, Integrity, Deliver, and Excellence - we foster a people focused culture of growth, mentorship and collaboration where safety always come first.

What You'll Do

Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, the Construction Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules across the full project lifecycle, from preconstruction and bid development through baseline establishment and execution support.

This is not a schedule maintenance role. We are looking for someone who can build credible, logic driven schedules rooted in real construction means and methods, support project teams through planning and execution, and strengthen scheduling standards, templates, and repeatable processes across the business. The right candidate will bring strong Primavera P6 capability, sound construction knowledge, and experience supporting complex, high value, high risk EPC projects.

This role is a strong fit for someone who wants to contribute beyond individual project schedules and play a meaningful role in shaping and maturing the scheduling function.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

  • Develop preliminary project schedules for bids, proposals, and preconstruction efforts based on available scope, drawings, client requirements, and execution assumptions
  • Work closely with estimating, engineering, procurement, project management, and operations teams to translate construction strategy, sequencing, milestones, and constraints into practical schedules
  • Support the transition from estimate to execution by providing schedule handoff documentation, logic assumptions, and planning support to project teams
  • Develop and maintain contract, baseline, and execution schedules that align with project scope, contractual milestones, procurement strategy, engineering deliverables, and field execution plans
  • Maintain and update schedules during execution, particularly for larger, more complex, or higher risk EPC projects where schedule quality and forecasting are critical
  • Perform schedule analysis to identify critical path impacts, sequencing concerns, float erosion, long lead risks, and potential delays
  • Work with project teams to evaluate schedule changes, develop mitigation or recovery plans, and incorporate changes in execution strategy into the schedule
  • Coordinate with procurement, engineering, subcontractors, and field operations to ensure schedule updates reflect actual progress, constraints, and resource planning
  • Prepare schedule reports, narratives, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders and clients
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of scheduling templates, standards, and repeatable processes, primarily within Primavera P6
  • Help bring greater consistency, structure, and discipline to scheduling practices across the organization
Additional Information

As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to complete pre-employment screening including professional reference checks and a criminal record check.

What We're Looking For
  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of scheduling, planning, or project controls experience within construction, infrastructure, utilities, industrial, or EPC environments
  • Demonstrated experience supporting both preconstruction scheduling and execution phase scheduling
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 required.
  • Strong understanding of CPM scheduling principles, logic ties,…
