Key Responsibilities- Operate breakdown rollers to compact asphalt and other materials during road construction and paving activities
- Ensure that compaction procedures are followed correctly to achieve the desired material density and surface quality
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Monitor job site conditions and notify supervisors of any issues that may affect work progress or quality
- Collaborate with other team members to facilitate efficient workflow and communication on site
- Document daily activities, including compaction reports and equipment performance, to maintain accurate records
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating breakdown rollers or similar heavy equipment in a construction environment
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Strong understanding of compaction processes and road construction techniques is preferred
- Valid Class 3 Driver's License with a clean driving record is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications is preferred
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions is preferred
