This Senior Estimator leads accurate estimates for land development, road construction, and other construction projects. The position analyzes specifications, drawings, quantities, materials, labor, equipment, and overhead. It also supports bid management, project risk assessment, and recommendations for budget optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead detailed cost estimates for construction projects
Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements
Conduct quantity takeoffs and material cost assessments
Identify risks and value engineering opportunities
Present completed bids for management approval
Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Minimum 10 years of estimating experience
Strong construction methods and materials knowledge
Proficiency with construction estimating software and tools
Ability to mentor estimators and manage multiple projects
Apply senior estimating, Heavy Bid, analytical, and leadership skills to infrastructure bids with Standard General Calgary in Alberta.
