About the Role

A UI/UX Designer at Tiller is highly user-focused and passionate about delivering incredible user experiences for websites and SaaS products to achieve client’s business goals. This is a UI-primary role for a designer who creates polished, intuitive, and on-brand interfaces for SaaS websites. You’ll bring strong visual craft, Figma expertise, and design system thinking, while applying enough UX judgment to structure pages, flows, and experiences that support client and user goals.

This role may also support adjacent design needs when they contribute to client outcomes or team priorities, including brand applications, marketing/sales assets, or other digital design work.

What you get to do
  • Design polished, intuitive, and on-brand user interfaces for responsive websites and SaaS products.
  • Translate strategy, brand direction, user needs, and client goals into high-fidelity digital experiences.
  • Create wireframes, visual concepts, prototypes, design systems, UI kits, components, and developer‑ready interface designs.
  • Use Figma as your primary design tool to create organized, scalable, visually refined, and developer-friendly files.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate concept exploration, visual iteration, workflow efficiency, prototyping, and design refinement while maintaining strong creative judgment.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to review briefs, shape design direction, challenge ideas, and present clear visual rationale.
  • Create supporting visuals, icons, illustrations, and brand applications that elevate the overall digital experience.
  • Estimate effort, communicate risks or tradeoffs early, and design within scope, budget, and project constraints.
  • Support adjacent design needs including marketing assets, presentation design, sales enablement materials, or other creative work that supports client outcomes and team priorities.
  • Present work to both internal and external stakeholders with clear rationale as it relates to client objectives.
You may be a fit for this role if you have
  • Have 5+ years industry experience in UI/UX, designing responsive websites and apps.
  • Have a strong portfolio that showcases creativity, problem solving, critical thinking, and excellent user experience.
  • Are experienced in UI design fundamentals and principles including visual design, web standards, design systems, layout, composition, typography, hierarchy, colour, imagery, and conceptualization.
  • Have expert-level experience with design tools including Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Have a working and growing knowledge of AI tools and are actively using them to improve speed, exploration, research synthesis, and design workflows.
  • Can collaborate with clients and the project team to understand requirements and create strong user experiences that meet client goals and vision.
  • Communicate effectively to help stakeholders understand the importance of brand and user experience, presenting ideas professionally and building credibility.
  • Can effectively receive and apply feedback and value continuous improvement for yourself and your teammates.
  • Have strong communication skills and can successfully articulate creative ideas and rationale both verbally and in written form.
  • Have experience collaborating with front-end developers.
  • Are highly detail oriented while being able to rapidly iterate and meet deadlines.
  • Have a strategic approach to understanding scope and budget constraints to deliver design solutions that meet client objectives.
  • Thrive in a collaborative, growth-mindful, fast-paced agency environment.
  • Are energized by UI/UX as your primary craft, but flexible enough to support adjacent design needs when the team or client outcome requires it.
  • Can work effectively remotely and in the office. This is a hybrid in-office position with mandatory in-office days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.
Success looks like
  • You consistently produce strategic, high-quality, and user-centred design work that helps clients achieve business goals.
