Arts Educator Technical Theatre

Position: Arts Educator for Technical Theatre
Lead student engagement in the arts as a Technical Theatre Educator at Foundations for the Future Charter Academy in Calgary. Inspire Grades 9–12 students through hands-on theatre production experiences.

In this position, you will contribute to a valued Performing Arts program as an Alberta certified teacher. You will instruct students in technical theatre covering key elements such as set design, lighting, and sound. Collaborate within a supportive environment, encouraging student-centered growth and creativity throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement engaging theatre lessons

• Mentor a diverse group of approximately 30 students

• Guide set construction, decoration, and logistics

• Oversee effective management of props and costumes

• Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment

Requirements:

• Proven experience in theatre production

• Strong organization and project management skills

• Flexibility for varied hours including evenings and weekends

• Commitment to student mentorship in performing arts

• Drive for continuous learning and professional development
