Level GT-05, NB-07. The CER has a classification system that differs from the greater public service. This NEB-07 position is similar to a GT-05 in terms of salary range only.

Duties Reporting to the Group Leader, Web, Design and Print, provides technical advice and expertise for creative and/or multimedia services for regulatory documents, publications, technical documents, management reports and communications products that could take different forms (print, web and/or video) for internal or external release, based on the CER Formatting Guide.

Intent of the process Intent to staff one term position. Approximately 12 months. A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be created to fill similar positions at the same or lower levels, with varying language requirements, security clearances, conditions of employment, and appointment types (e.g., term, acting, assignment, or permanent). This process may also result in a permanent appointment, even for candidates appointed on a temporary basis.

• This position is subject to CER’s Professional Institute of The Public Service of Canada Collective Agreement. The benefits offered may differ from those offered in the greater public service.
• CER has the following forms of additional compensation that are separate from base salary, the eligibility for which is determined, in accordance with the provisions in the collective agreement or terms and conditions of employment for the duration period specified:
• Annual performance pay which includes elements of individual performance and corporate performance.

• Willingness to undergo, successfully pass and maintain a Reliaibility Status Check.

• Must be willing to move within and between business units and teams, based on operational requirements or as individual development needs are identified.
• This position is not eligible for full‑time telework. The successful candidate will be required to work the CER standard minimum days in the office.
• Must be willing and able to travel and to work overtime when required.

• Post‑secondary degree or diploma in graphic design, multimedia, visual communications, or another field related to the duties of the position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience developing, designing, and producing visual communications products for print or electronic publication (e.g., reports, presentations, promotional or communications materials).
• Experience consulting with clients to determine objectives, audiences, and design requirements, and translating those requirements into effective design solutions.
• Experience using design software including Adobe Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Word.
