Shipping Desk Agent

We are seeking individuals that are ambitious, curious, client-oriented and enjoy a fast-paced environment.

• Responsible for greeting and providing courteous service to customers regarding their orders, returns and any other needs;
• Responds to customer inquiries, in person, by phone, email or chat, providing exceptional customer service;
• Performs data entry and information retrieval in various computer systems as needed;
• Ensures the smooth internal exchange of information related to customer orders primarily between the shipping counter and the freight forwarding department;
• Ensures that invoicing is accurate and done on a daily basis;
• Responsible for the administration of deposits and petty cash for the day involved;
• Generates and processes various reports, as well as performs various administrative tasks as requested by the supervisor;
• Responsible for performing administrative tasks related to deliveries for our internal and external trucks;
• Other related duties.

• Minimum 1-2 years prior experience in a similar role;
• Prior experience with monetary transactions with customers, such as cash, debit or credit card payments and payment management;
• Prior experience in an order desk environment with the ability to interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, even in stressful situations;
• Prior experience in shipping and logistics preferred;
• Prior experience with integrated order/inventory management software (ERP), preference for Epicor Prophet-21 (P-21) or similar;
• Excellent understanding and experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite software, with good ability to work with MS Excel.

Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
