Job summary: The Post Office Clerk provides customer service and operational support at the Post Office Outlet. The position is responsible for assisting customers with postal services, processing mail and parcel transactions, and ensuring the efficient handling of postal products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide front-counter customer service for postal products and services.
• Accept, weigh, and process letters, parcels, and registered mail.
• Sell postage stamps, packaging materials, and other postal products.
• Process payments for postal services using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Sort incoming and outgoing mail and prepare items for dispatch.
• Track and manage registered mail, express mail, and parcels.
• Maintain accurate records of postal transactions and daily balances.
• Ensure compliance with postal regulations and security procedures.
• Keep the postal counter area clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.
• Assist customers with inquiries related to postal rates, delivery times, and services.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in postal or courier services is an asset.
• Basic computer and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move parcels up to approximately 50 kg (110 lbs).

Position Type: Part-Time

• Hours: Approximately 15–25 hours per week, including evenings or weekends.
