“PBS is the fastest growing “All Inclusive Business Platform” vendor in North America and we’ve only just begun!”

PBS has been transforming how people buy and service cars for almost 40 years, becoming the third largest Dealership Management System(DMS) provider in North America. Each month, hundreds of new users join our platform, which helps dealerships manage sales, service, inventory, and accounting. What sets us apart is how we treat our customers - as partners, innovators and friends.

At PBS, we invest in your growth. Your career can progress in alignment with your strengths, interests, and aspirations.

The Role:

PBS Systems is seeking an enthusiastic and organized individual to join our Client Services team as an Accounting Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will provide exceptional training and support to both new and existing customers using the accounting module of our software. You will assist clients throughout the development, installation, and training phases of implementing their new dealership management software.

Customer support is provided primarily by phone and email, with regular opportunities to work directly with clients on-site. This role includes approximately one week of travel per month to customer locations for hands‑on training and support.

This position is based in our Calgary office and requires on‑site attendance. Please note that this is not a remote or hybrid opportunity.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer support for the Accounting module of PBS software through phone, email, and occasional on‑site assistance.
  • Keep customers informed of the status of their incidents and escalations through timely and consistent follow‑up.
  • Deliver support services in a professional, efficient, and customer‑focused manner.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships by demonstrating strong communication skills, empathy, and a commitment to excellent service.
  • Collaborate with project teams to support software installations, implementations, and other cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Monitor, prioritize, and respond to helpdesk tickets assigned to your team in a timely manner.
  • Assist with customer training and onboarding activities as required.
  • Travel to customer locations for on‑site training and support, approximately one week per month.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of accounting processes and PBS software functionality to effectively support customer needs.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and continuously seek opportunities to improve the customer experience.
Requirements:
  • Fundamentals of basic accounting
  • High school diploma (Accounting Diploma/Certificate will be considered an asset)
  • Previous experience in customer service, technical support, accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and professional manner.

  • Comfortable learning and supporting software applications in a fast‑paced, technology‑driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
