Seasonal Event Host

Position: Calgary Zoo Seasonal Event Host
Enhance visitor experiences at the Calgary Zoo as a Seasonal Event Host. Play a crucial role in ZOOLIGHTS, offering outstanding customer service in a unique outdoor environment.

In this role, you will be instrumental in creating a safe, engaging, and friendly atmosphere for zoo visitors. Responsibilities include facilitating event activities, addressing guest inquiries, and ensuring smooth operations during ZOOLIGHTS. Your ability to connect with the public will directly support the zoo’s commitment to conservation and education, making each visitor's experience memorable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate memorable, inclusive event activities

• Provide friendly, informative customer service to visitors

• Communicate zoo’s conservation goals and animal knowledge

• Manage safe visitor movement and compliance with guidelines

• Set up and dismantle event spaces and equipment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent needed

• At least 1 year of customer-facing experience required

• Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable working in changing outdoor conditions

• Team-oriented with basic computer skills
