The Opportunity:We have an exciting opportunity in our Calgary office for a Junior Architectural Designer
. Using your Revit skills, you will work closely with the project team to complete architectural design and technical assignments while gaining experience.
- Assist with schematic design, design development, and programming under supervision from more experienced team members
- Prepare design and technical working drawings
- Prepare hand sketches, perspectives, and coloured renderings in 2D and 3D
- Prepare colour and material boards, and presentation documents
- Contribute to design, production, and visioning meetings
- Attend meetings and communicate with clients alongside an intermediate or senior designer as required
- Meet and develop relationships with product reps
- Provide product research and selection
- Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) or Master of Architecture (M.Arch) from an accredited architectural program, with 0 to 4 years of professional design experience
- Proficient with graphics software (Sketch Up, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite);
Revit experience considered an asset - Interior design skills, creativity, and knowledge of design principles and elements
- Construction knowledge
- Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills
- Demonstrated graphic presentation skills
- Desire to learn and willingness to take direction
