HDR is seeking a Project Architect
, to join our growing team and continue the legacy of providing our clients and communities with creative design solutions that enhance the health and human condition of those they serve.
In the role of Project Architect, we'll count on you to:
Lead a multidiscipline team and perform layout and detailing on architectural projectsIndependently coordinate work of a multidiscipline team through multiple phases of a projectEstablish owner/client and internal meetings, and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code complianceConduct work sessions at project site in conjunction with Project Manager and other disciplinesCoordinate workload of team members through multiple phases to complete documents on scheduleReview architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplinesPerform QA/QC and technical reviewsWrite and edit architectural specificationsCoordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change ordersIncorporate agreed-upon changes into project documentsLead projects in a dual management role as neededProvide construction contract administration as neededPerform other duties as neededSelection Process
:
Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a Revit skills assessment to demonstrate their proficiency with Revit software and related design tasks. Accommodations will be made available upon request.
Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in ArchitectureA minimum of 10-15 years' experienceExperience in the areas of Data Centers or Mission Critical facilitiesExperience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desiredSignificant amount of contract administration experience, including running OAC meetings, reviewing applications for payment, and processing certificates of substantial completionExperience with value engineering exercisesAbility to facilitate team-wide coordination meetings with all project disciplinesExperience with commercial building permit development and processingExperience guiding a team of junior designersKnowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and In Design Experience with Sketch Up and Enscape a plus, but not requiredWilling to travel on a semi-regular basis to project sites
