Job Description
AECOM is seeking a talented and creative Landscape Architectural Designer to be based in Calgary, AB. This position is for a newly created position.
As a member of AECOM’s Landscape practice, you will support a range of types and scales of projects, including streetscapes, community parks, renewable energy, transport and infrastructure, urban regeneration and environmental enhancement schemes. These projects offer the opportunity to work in small, medium and large multi-disciplinary teams, influencing design from an early stage and shaping the landscape on a broad scale, while supporting our progress towards our team’s commitment to being leaders in green infrastructure and delivering wider environmental and social benefits.
We will consider applicants with a wide range of experience and a keen and demonstrable interest in landscape visualization, conceptual design and technical / detailed design. This is an opportunity to join a team which is growing and with strong links across many disciplines.

Job Responsibilities:

Supporting the team
Working collaboratively with colleagues from landscape architecture, planning, architecture and all engineering disciplines
Ensures that the given jobs are completed on time and comply with the client’s requirements.

Delivering High Quality Graphics and Presentations
Translating initial design concepts into increasingly detailed 3D models to support the progression of the project. Fluency between 2D, 3D and BIM software platforms is a skill that will be increasingly developed through every day collaboration.
Creating professional quality conceptual graphics through fluency with Rhino 3D, Adobe Creative Cloud, D5, Enscape and other visualization tools.
Creating landscape-specific 3D design and visualization processes and workflows that can be standardized across Canada, while aligning with AECOM Canada’s BIM and 3D standards for architecture.
Developing a Strong Technical Foundation
Performs basic to intermediately complex drafting assignments that requires a high degree of attention to detail, accuracy, and alignment with AECOM and client CAD standards. Software…
