The OpportunityWe are currently seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist with 5–8 years of experience to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for someone who is technically strong, highly organized, and confident managing projects through multiple phases of development — from preliminary design and client coordination through permit and construction documentation.
The successful candidate will be comfortable taking ownership of projects, working directly with clients and consultants, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to the continued growth and improvement of the studio.
Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate projects from preliminary design through construction documentation and permitting
- Prepare and oversee complete construction drawing packages in Revit for residential, multifamily, and commercial projects
- Develop accurate, thoughtful, and buildable construction details
- Coordinate consultant information including structural, engineering, and supplier drawings
- Manage project timelines, priorities, and communication between clients, consultants, builders, and internal team members
- Attend and participate in client meetings, consultant coordination meetings, and occasional site visits
- Assist clients through the design and approval process with professionalism and clarity
- Review and implement revisions, markups, and project changes efficiently and accurately
- Support and mentor junior/intermediate team members through collaboration and technical guidance
- Assist in maintaining and improving office standards, workflows, and drawing quality
- Contribute meaningful technical and construction knowledge to the broader design team
- Diploma or Certification in Architectural Technology
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant industry experience
- Advanced proficiency in Revit
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of wood-frame construction, building systems, and construction detailing
- Experience managing projects through multiple phases of development
- Strong knowledge of Alberta building codes, local bylaws, and permitting processes
Experience coordinating consultant drawings and engineering packages - Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a team
- Rendering and visualization experience
- Experience with multifamily and commercial projects
- Client-facing and project management experience
- Construction or field experience
- Experience mentoring junior team members
- Ability to contribute to design development and planning discussions
