CAD Designer at Scott Springfield

Join Scott Springfield by Modine as a CAD Designer in Calgary, Alberta. This role focuses on 2D and 3D modeling, enhancing design processes, and supporting various projects.

As a key member of SSM, you'll report to the Lead Designer and work in a collaborative team environment. Your expertise in CAD modeling, particularly with Solid Edge or Autocad, will be essential for creating detailed documentation and approval drawings. You'll engage directly with production teams and suppliers to ensure designs meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 2D and 3D CAD modeling for multiple projects

• Create detailed shop floor drawings and bills of materials

• Upload drawings to the PDM system and support routing

• Communicate design requirements with production teams

• Ensure compliance with Standard Practices & Work Instructions

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in mechanical design

• Proficient in 3D modeling software like Solid Edge, IronCAD, or Autocad

• Experience with large model assemblies

• Ability to create electromechanical drawings from sketches

• Strong problem-solving skills in design processes
