Shape Calgary's public spaces with The City of Calgary as a Project Development Planner. Use your expertise in landscape architecture and urban design to develop impactful projects and meet community needs.
As a Project Development Planner, you will contribute to enhancing parks and open spaces across Calgary. With a background in landscape architecture or urban planning and at least five years of relevant experience, you'll lead early-stage project development, feasibility studies, and strategic planning initiatives.
Your role is crucial in guiding investment decisions that align with community aspirations and council policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop business cases and project charters for public spaces
• Conduct feasibility studies and concept designs for parks
• Assess and prioritize capital investment opportunities
• Monitor project progress and prepare reports for senior leadership
• Build collaborative relationships and engage with community partners
Requirements:
• Degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Planning
• At least 5 years of related experience in municipal contexts
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License and personal vehicle
• Experience with GIS and project management methods
• Strong communication skills to convey complex issues
