The Primary Care Physician position is vital in addressing substance use and mental health issues among diverse populations in Ontario. Collaborating closely with community partners, you will oversee patient care while applying equity and harm reduction principles. This role also emphasizes a holistic approach to healthcare, promoting health and well-being while preventing illness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct client care per guidelines of the College of Physicians
• Apply trauma-informed care and advocacy for health equity
• Coordinate with teams for clients’ complex medical needs
• Offer evening and weekend medical care in rotation
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
Requirements:
• Doctor of Medicine degree and CPSO registration
• Minimum one year of primary health care experience
• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records systems
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to anti-oppression and social justice principles
