As a Physician Assistant, you will play a significant role in providing high-quality care to preterm and term neonates in Level II and Level III NICUs. Your responsibilities include sharing clinical duties, attending deliveries, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. This critical role supports the high admission rates and complex care needs of newborns across southern Alberta.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide patient care under supervision of neonatologist
• Document admissions, discharges, and daily progress notes
• Attend newborn deliveries regularly
• Formulate care plans for neonatal patients
• Coordinate care and communicate with families
Requirements:
• Eligible for CPSA registration as a PA
• Completed recognized Physician Assistant training
• Willing to undergo orientation and training
• Strong collaboration skills for multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to quality improvement initiatives
