Orthopedic Surgery CAF Medical Team

Position: Orthopedic Surgery in the CAF Medical Team
Provide expert orthopedic care as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces' Medical Specialist team. This role entails delivering surgical care and playing an essential part in CAF's medical operations, both at home and overseas.

In your role as an Orthopedic Surgeon, you will lead surgical teams and educate others in trauma care while ensuring your clinical skills are current. You'll work in civilian hospitals and military settings, contributing to the overall health care policies of the CAF, while occasionally deploying in challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct orthopedic consultations for military members

• Lead surgical teams for emergency care in various settings

• Educate medical teams on orthopedic treatment approaches

• Engage in clinical practices at civilian health facilities

• Influence health care policy within the CAF

Requirements:

• Must have an unrestricted license to practice Orthopedic Surgery

• Membership in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons required

• Demonstrated leadership and educational skills

• Commitment to military training and readiness

• Willingness to deploy for operational duties
