Join the Calgary Stroke Program at Alberta Health Services as a full-time Physician Assistant. Deliver exceptional care to stroke and TIA patients under the guidance of experienced stroke neurologists.
As a valued member of a multidisciplinary team at the Foothills Medical Centre, you will work 38.5 hours per week, engaging in comprehensive clinical care. You will manage documentation, attend hyperacute STAT stroke runs, and collaboratively formulate care plans, all while interacting closely with both patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical care to stroke patients under supervision
• Participate in daily medical rounds and inpatient consultations
• Document admission, discharge, and progress notes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient care
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and education
Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current or eligible registration with provincial regulatory authority
• Basic knowledge of stroke conditions
• Willingness to undergo orientation and training
• Satisfactory criminal record check required
