Responsibilities:
Provide consistent, outstanding service to the members, guests, employees and co-workersMonitor the needs and expectations of the membership through good communicationEnsure members are aware of and adhere to rules and regulationsEffectively address members concerns and complaintsLearning and understanding the operation of the Northstar registration systemAssist with the planning and implementation of the summer day camps including leader and volunteer interviews, on-going communication with members regarding registration and camp informationEnsure a family and fun focus in programs, events, and services including but not limited to summer camps, Spring Break camps, Club wide Halloween Party, workshops, programs, youth mentorship and leadership, birthday parties and special eventsEnsure the delivery of high quality programs, activities and services that are consistent with member needs and evolving trendsActively contribute to the program and service departments’ teamwork and collaborationAdministrative responsibilities include assisting with:
--Program building, special event planning, team communication, on-boarding, recognition, succession planningInsure a safe, friendly, and supportive environment for children, youth and their familiesAssume the duties of a birthday party host including set up and take down of room, greet members and guests, assist parents, children and guests for the duration of the assigned birthday party, to regularly communicate with the member to ensure that everything is to their satisfactionQualifications:
Minimum one year of post-secondary education in a related field (recreation, education, etc.)Current Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C CertificationPrevious experience working in the camp, childcare, or education environmentExtensive experience in the delivery of indoor and/or outdoor youth and teen programmingCreative and innovative in the areas of program design and implementationExcellent communication, writing and public speaking skillsA diplomatic, outgoing personality – capable of fostering relationships with members and employeesProven leadership skillsA team player who can mentor, organize, and engage staff effectivelyHigh standards of ethics, honesty, and integrityAbility to influence progress through cooperation, conflict resolution, and facilitationInnovative approach through critical thinking, collaboration, and evaluation of programs and servicesStrong organizational and administrative skillsExcellent member service and interpersonal skillsWhy Choose Us:

This is a Full-Time position that reports to the Youth & Teen Director. The successful candidate may be required to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays, so a flexible schedule is required.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a background including a Vulnerable Sector Check as well as Respect in the Workplace online certifications prior to commencing employment.
