Rundle College Society (“Rundle”) was founded in 1985 and provides an outstanding educational experience for approximately 1,250 students in kindergarten through grade 12. In addition to academic achievement, Rundle's programs emphasize character development, leadership training, and good citizenship. Unique among independent schools in Canada, Rundle delivers parallel College and Academy programs on two separate physical campuses, and online via Rundle Studio.

Rundle students thrive in a safe, caring and kind environment. The Academy and Studio programs meet the needs of students who have a diagnosed learning disability, with or without ADHD. Our students are in the average to above-average range of intellectual functioning but have difficulties with specific academic activities and skills.
Rundle Studio does this in a dynamic, interactive online learning environment. Rundle is a not-for-profit corporation with approximately 175 faculty and 57 staff. Rundle College is seeking an engaging Senior High Humanities Teacher. The make-up of courses will be determined once students make course selections. The successful candidate may teach English or Social Studies. The successful candidate will be a passionate educator who can deliver an enriched and personalized curriculum, inspiring students to develop their potential, intellectual curiosity, and strong character within Rundle's supportive community.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Employ personalized instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Foster a classroom culture that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, problem‑solving, and a passion for humanities.
- Assess student progress effectively and provide timely, constructive feedback to support student growth and potential.
- Collaborate with the Senior High English or Social Studies Department and faculty to enhance instructional practices and program development.
- As a Senior High humanities Teacher, you are required to meet expectations in the three pathways for learning and within our values of Together, Be Kind, Be Curious, Be Well:
- Contribute to the academic pathway to learning at Rundle College Senior High by planning and delivering an engaging and elevated English or Social Studies program within Alberta Education course objectives and expected outcomes; while monitoring the progress of students through a variety of modalities.
- Contribute to the co‑curricular pathway to learning at Rundle College Senior High in the area of athletics, travel, community service, and clubs.
- Contribute to the character pathway to learning at Rundle College Senior High through the Teacher Advisor (TA) program and adherence to student expectations in alignment with our values.
- Experience in planning or leading student travel experiences locally, nationally and internationally is an asset.
- Experience and expertise in coaching in Senior High is an asset.
- Hold a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.
- Have a police information check completed with a vulnerable sector verification within the last 6 months.
- Experience teaching English or Social Studies at all three levels (10‑20‑30) is an asset.
- Fluidity in the application of education‑based technologies is essential.
- Candidates with another teachable subject (ie. PE) will be given priority.
