Sessional Instructor: CPSC 457 – Principles of Operating Systems
The Department of Computer Science within the Faculty of Science invites applications for a CPSC 457 Sessional Instructor for the Spring 2026 Term
.
The successful candidate will have responsibilities for instruction and associated duties for this 3‑unit course during the Spring 2026 Term (in‑person), including the supervision and direction of teaching assistants that will teach the tutorial sections.
Course
:
Principles of Operating Systems – an introduction to operating systems principles, performance measurement, concurrent programs, and the management of information, memory and processor resources.
Spring 2026 Term Dates: Friday, May 1 2026 – Sunday, June 28 2026
Teaching
Schedule:
Mon/Wed 4:00 pm – 6:45 pm
Delivery Mode: All course components will be delivered in person.
Applicants should have a minimum of an MSc in Computer Science or a closely related discipline – a PhD is preferred. Preference will be given to graduate students and postdocs in our program looking to obtain teaching experience, followed by applicants with a postgraduate degree.
