Assistant Professor, Supply Chain Management - (3588)
Assistant Professor, Supply Chain Management – Limited Term Faculty Position with appointment beginning August 15, 2026 (subject to budgetary approval). The successful candidate will hold a teaching/service (TS) pattern, teaching eight 3‑credit hour courses per academic year, and will actively participate in various service roles. The candidate should contribute meaningfully to the Supply Chain Management Program.
About the Faculty of Business, Communication Studies and AviationThe Faculty of Business, Communications Studies and Aviation has approximately 4,000 students and includes the EFMD‑accredited Bissett School of Business, the School of Communication Studies, and aviation programs. The Bissett School of Business offers a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with majors in General Management, Human Resources Management, Accounting, Finance, International Business, Supply Chain Management, and Marketing, as well as Aviation programmes.
The School of Communication Studies offers a Bachelor of Communication Studies with majors in Journalism, Digital Media, Broadcast Media, Information Design, and Public Relations.
The Supply Chain Management BBA major focuses on global supply chains, international trade, and effective process development. The International Business BBA major prepares students for the global business environment through theory and application, global trade, and cross‑cultural management. Aerospace and aviation programmes blend pilot training with business strategy, preparing students for high‑impact roles in airline and airport operations, aerospace logistics, and aviation leadership.
Aboutthe Role
The Department of International Business, Supply Chain Management & Aviation invites applications for a Three‑Year Limited Term faculty position in Supply Chain Management at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, with a primary focus on courses such as “Introduction to Logistics and Supply Chain Management”, “Operations Management”, and “Project Management”. The role also requires an awareness of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility issues and a supportive inclusive environment.
The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline and will have prior teaching experience in Supply Chain courses.
The successful candidate will be hired into the teaching/service pattern (TS). The teaching/service pattern focuses on teaching and service only. The successful candidate will be expected to teach eight 3‑credit hour courses per academic year and will be an active participant in various service roles. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute meaningfully to the Supply Chain Management Program.
QualificationsA completed Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, or a closely related discipline, is required. A Ph.D. in Supply Chain or a closely related discipline is preferred.
Teaching experience in Supply Chain Management at the post‑secondary level in Canada.
Relevant industry experience is preferred.
Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation is considered an asset.
Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills are required.
