Mount Royal University Cougars Athletics and Recreation is seeking a flexible Facility Attendant to support the operation of indoor and outdoor recreation facilities. This role includes facility checks, event set-up and take-down, equipment and space preparation, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities- Conduct facility checks ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the recreation facility.
- Assist with set up and take down for Cougars varsity games and special events (indoors and outdoors).
- Ready facilities and equipment for external and internal university bookings.
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining recreation and fitness equipment.
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining the recreation facilities.
- Assist with outdoor recreation facility maintenance and operations.
- Provide laundry services for various university departments.
- Provide superior customer service to all facility users.
- Provide general support to all recreation staff.
- Priority given to current MRU students
- Availability to work evenings or weekends or holidays (provide availability with application)
- Reliable transportation, as shifts may vary between 6 am and 11 pm
- Standard First Aid and CPR (within 2 months of hiring)
- Positive customer service skills with an open attitude to working with a diverse population
- Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish effective working relationships and work as a member of a team
Salary: $15.00 - $18.87 per hour
