The OpportunityCanstead Learning is seeking experienced project management professionals to join our growing instructor network.
This opportunity is ideal for senior practitioners who are passionate about developing future project leaders and sharing lessons learned from real projects, programs, stakeholders, governance structures, and delivery environments.
Instructors may deliver a variety of professional development programs, including:
- Organizational Change & Business Enablement
- Other project management and professional development programs
Previous teaching experience is not required.
We value experienced practitioners who can translate real‑world project delivery experience into practical, engaging learning experiences.
What You'll Do- Deliver instructor‑led courses and workshops in person
- Facilitate engaging classroom discussions using practical examples and industry experience
- Help learners understand how project management concepts are applied in real organizational environments
- Support learner success through professional instruction, discussion, and coaching
- Create a positive, professional, and inclusive classroom experience
- Participate in instructor onboarding and program preparation activities as required
- Maintain instructional quality and professionalism throughout program delivery
- Additional PMI certifications considered an asset
- Minimum 10 years of hands‑on project management experience
- Demonstrated experience leading projects, stakeholders, budgets, schedules, risks, and governance activities
- Strong presentation, communication, and facilitation skills
- English as a first language
- Citizen of Canada or the United States
- Ability to teach in person within the metropolitan area associated with this posting
- Ability to travel locally as required for instructional delivery
- 15+ years of project management experience
Experience leading projects in one or more of the following sectors:
- Construction
- Technology
- Pharmaceuticals
- Manufacturing
- Energy
- Government
- Infrastructure
- Telecommunications
The strongest candidates are practitioners first.
They have personally led projects, managed stakeholders, navigated governance structures, addressed delivery challenges, and worked through the realities of project execution.
They can connect project management principles to practical business situations and help learners understand how project management is applied across industries and organizations.
Additional InformationSuccessful candidates will be required to enter into an Independent Contractor Agreement and Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure Agreement prior to delivering programs.
These agreements include provisions related to:
- Intellectual property protection
- Instructional materials and course content
- Delivery standards and professional obligations
- Limited instructional exclusivity relating to PMI credential preparation programs delivered through competing PMI Authorized Training Partners
- Teaching engagements with accredited colleges, universities, and similar academic institutions are generally not restricted.
This is an in‑person instructional role.
Applicants should reside within reasonable commuting distance of Calgary, AB and be available to deliver instructor‑led programs on weekdays and weekends as required.
