The Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering in the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary has an opportunity for a Sessional Instructor position to teach ENEN 697 "Air Pollution Mitigation ENEN" in the Fall 2026 term.
Course DescriptionIntroduction of physical and chemical principles for air pollution mitigation. Fundamentals of particulate and gaseous pollutants' properties, measurement, analysis, generation, and removal technologies. Mechanisms of air pollution, including sources of air pollution and their roles in causing global and local air pollution events. Fundamentals of dispersion modelling, including relevant meteorological basics. Indoor air pollutants, modelling, regulations, as well as health impacts.

Wednesday 6:30 PM - 9:15 PM
The successful candidate will be expected to have earned at least a Master's in Mechanical Engineering and must have a demonstrated background in the subject matter related to the course. The successful candidate must also have very good previous teaching performance or show the potential for very good to excellent teaching ability.
