Position Overview
As a Teacher‑Tutor at Oxford Learning, you will work with elementary students in reading, writing, math, and French, and with high school students in math (through Calculus), physics, chemistry, biology, and English. Lesson plans are pre‑planned; you will receive full training in our proprietary philosophy and methods, allowing you to focus entirely on teaching.
Position Requirements- Availability from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; you do not need to be available all hours.
- Commitment through the end of the 2025‑26 school year (June 30), with the possibility of continuing through the summer.
This role is in‑person. You must be able to commute to the location. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable‑sector screening is mandatory.
Education- Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
- Third‑year university students with tutoring experience will be considered.
- Working toward or having a teaching certification is an asset.
- Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum.
- Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level.
- Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students’ understanding.
- The ability to teach French is also highly desired.
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.
- Teach up to 3 students at a time in elementary grades or up to 2 students at a time in grades 10‑12.
- Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
- Complete daily student communication updates and monthly progress reports.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanour at all times, creating a fun learning environment.

Schedule- Monday to Thursday: days, afternoons, or evenings.
- Saturday availability.
