Your role primarily supports Junior High students with behavioral complexities. You will lead initiatives that encourage better self-concept and social skills. This position is vital for creating a positive school environment and establishing strong ties with both parents and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in designing behavior management strategies
• Deliver social-emotional learning support to students
• Partner with educators to reinforce positive behavior
• Engage with parents and community members effectively
• Serve students from Junior High and some High School classes
Requirements:
• Relevant Child & Youth Care diploma required
• Proven experience managing youth behavioral issues
• Familiarity with trauma-informed practices
• Understanding of adolescent brain development beneficial
• Available to work 32.5 hours weekly aligned with school calendar
Support student growth and development as a Youth Development Coach with Foothills School Division.
