Position: Teaching Assistant for Health Data Courses at UBC
Assist in teaching Health Data Analysis and Machine Learning at UBC as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Support course administration and foster student learning in a fully online environment.

As part of the Faculty of Medicine, this role involves assisting in course delivery for the UBC Extended Learning Program. Candidates should have relevant graduate studies and be proficient in data analytics and health sciences. The TA will facilitate student discussions and ensure a smooth online learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the instructor to maintain course content

• Answer student questions during online discussions weekly

• Grade assignments and provide feedback as per rubrics

• Participate in scheduled office hours for student support

• Track and correct any course content issues

Requirements:

• Pursuing a graduate degree in health-related fields

• Expertise in data science, statistics, or machine learning

• Knowledgeable in health data analytics

• Excellent verbal and written skills

• Experience with Canvas software is a plus
