Le français suit The Lycée international de Calgary, a French Ministry of Education, Alberta Education, and CAIS accredited French bilingual school of approximately 450 students total, is seeking substitute teachers for the French and English programs. • Manage students properly and minimize distractions while encouraging student participation
• Pay attention to each individual student, ensure they understand the learning material and clarify any questions or concerns
• Supervise students in the classroom, in school hallways, on the playground, and during breaks
• Provide any assignments based on the lesson plan designed by the regular Teacher
• In case of a long-term role, develop lesson plans and assignments that coincide with the original plan designed by the regular Teacher
• Assignments may involve teaching grades K-12, with specific placements aligned with your prior experience and preferences

• Strong classroom management skills
• Solid understanding and appreciation of the philosophy and unique goals of Lycée international de Calgary
• Fluent in French, working proficiency in English

• Up-to-date First Aid & CPR certificates
• Up-to-date police Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
• Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
• A Bachelor of Education or equivalent teaching qualification is required
• International teaching credentials are considered an asset
• Applicants must submit a cover letter
• Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Valid Work Permit holder without restrictions

This is a casual position with assignments that may be last-minute and on short notice. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as teaching needs can vary day-to-day.
