The University of Calgary is seeking a qualified Sessional Instructor for the Electrical and Software Engineering Department. This course, ENEL 525, will cover essential topics such as perceptor models and learning algorithms during scheduled lectures and labs. Candidates must hold a master's degree in electrical, computer, or software engineering and possess a strong teaching background to foster student learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach ENEL 525 - Machine Learning for Engineers
• Conduct engaging lectures on neural networks and fuzzy systems
• Lead lab sessions every Friday morning for hands-on experience
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback
• Foster an inclusive learning environment encouraging diverse perspectives
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering
• Demonstrated teaching experience or potential
• Registration as a Professional Engineer is preferred
• Commitment to Employment Equity principles
• Priority given to Canadian citizens or permanent residents
