Teach PSYC 493 - Psychology and Law at the University of Calgary as a Sessional Instructor this Winter 2027. Engage students in exploring the intersection of psychology and law through in-person classes.
The Department of Psychology seeks qualified candidates to teach an engaging course offering in Winter 2027. Applicants must possess a PhD in Psychology and experience with undergraduate courses. The role includes preparing lectures, promoting critical thinking, and evaluating students on their grasp of course material.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct students in the Psychology and Law course section
• Develop engaging lecture presentations and supplemental materials
• Assess and grade student assignments and exams
• Schedule and conduct office hours for student support
• Coordinate with department faculty to align course objectives
Requirements:
• Doctorate degree in Psychology required
• Previous university teaching experience necessary
• Effective communication abilities
• Knowledge of relevant psychology concepts and theories
• Commitment to the course schedule and requirements
