This position starts on July 1, 2026, and lasts for six months at the Foothills Campus. As an Assistant Librarian, you will deliver specialized instruction, engage with the health sciences community, and support various research initiatives. Collaboration with staff enhances program offerings and library visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create instructional content for health sciences courses
• Promote library programs to students and faculty effectively
• Deliver reference services through multiple channels
• Work with fellow librarians on user engagement initiatives
• Support grant applications and funded projects
Requirements:
• ALA accredited Master’s degree in librarianship
• Strong service orientation with teaching skills
• Familiarity with library technology and research methodologies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Capability to work on multiple projects effectively
Contribute to the academic success of health sciences at the University of Calgary as a key member of the library team.
