Calgary French & International School (CFIS) is seeking a collaborative, caring, and community-minded coordinator of Before and After School (BAS) and Auxiliary Programs to lead and enhance enriching experiences for students and families in our Early Childhood and Primary divisions.

Responsibilities of this position cover the following areas:
1) Program Operations, Safety & ComplianceIn collaboration with the CFIS Coordinator of Licensing:
- Provide operational oversight and staff support for all licensed CFIS programs, including Junior Preschool, Preschool, Junior Kindergarten, and BAS programs.
- Ensure programs operate in alignment with childcare licensing, health, fire, and safety regulations, school policies, and child-centred best practices.
- Foster safe, welcoming, inclusive, and developmentally responsive environments that support student wellbeing, engagement, and belonging.
- Oversee daily operational practices related to attendance, sign-in/sign-out procedures, supervision, student transitions, staffing ratios, and program flow.
- Ensure required safety inspections, maintenance procedures, and operational checklists are completed consistently.
- Respond appropriately to facility, student, or program-related emergencies and support accident/incident follow-up as required.
- Maintain accurate student, staff, and program records in accordance with licensing requirements and school policies.
- Represent CFIS within relevant professional organizations, networks, and community groups.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with students, families, faculty, staff, and external partners to support continuity of the student experience across the school day.
- Support a caring, inclusive, and relationship-focused team culture aligned with CFIS values.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, onboarding, orientation, and staff placement for BAS, licensed ECE, and auxiliary programs.
- Collaborate with CFIS pedagogical leadership to support professional growth, reflective practice, staff performance, and professional learning opportunities.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, guidance, and constructive feedback to staff, students, and volunteers.
- Facilitate regular staff meetings and support collaborative problem-solving and conflict resolution in alignment with CFIS policies and professional expectations.
- Ensure appropriate workplace practices and conditions consistent with employment standards and school policies.
- Act as an advocate for BAS and Auxiliary Programs within the broader CFIS community and leadership teams.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the BAS program, including registrations, waitlists, occasional-use requests, and family communications.
- Work closely with teachers and school staff to support continuity between classroom and BAS expectations, experiences, and student support practices.
- Provide and oversee engaging, age-appropriate programming and support staff in maintaining high-quality program documentation.
