About the Role
The Department of International Business, Supply Chain Management & Aviation at Mount Royal University invites applications for a Three-Year, Limited Term faculty position in Supply Chain Management at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 15, 2026 - subject to budgetary approval.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. The primary focus will be on teaching various supply chain courses including, but not limited to, “Introduction to Logistics and Supply Chain Management”, “Operations Management”, and “Project Management” in support of the BBA program. In addition to demonstrating the potential for effective teaching, the successful candidate will also approach their work in a way that demonstrates an awareness of issues related to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, and that supports an inclusive environment.
The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a Masters Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline and have prior teaching experience in Supply Chain courses.
The successful candidate for this role will be hired into the teaching/service pattern (TS). The teaching / service pattern focuses on teaching and service only. The successful candidate will be expected to teach eight 3-credit hour courses per academic year and will be an active participant in various service roles. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute meaningfully to the Supply Chain Management Program.
Qualifications
A completed Masters Degree in Supply Chain, or a closely related discipline, is required. A Ph.D in Supply Chain or a closely related discipline is preferred.
Teaching experience in the area of Supply Chain Management at the post-secondary level in Canada.
Relevant industry experience is preferred.
Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation is considered an asset.
Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills are required.
