Become a Reading Specialist at E.A. Butler All Grade in McKay's, supporting responsive literacy teaching. Collaborate with school personnel to enhance reading skills and student engagement.

This part-time position begins September 8, 2026. As a Reading Specialist, you will mentor teachers in evidence-based reading instruction and create a safe, inclusive learning environment. You will also focus on promoting student success through collaborative relationships while fostering equity and excellence in literacy education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mentor teachers in effective reading instruction techniques

• Create professional learning opportunities for educators

• Assess and report on student reading progress

• Foster engagement and supportive learning environments

• Collaborate with families and the school community

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education in Primary/Elementary

• NL Teaching Certificate - Level IV or higher

• 5 years of teaching experience in K-6

• Current knowledge of evidence-based reading practices

• Strong leadership and communication skills
